Start with the appliance, not the finish
A decorative front, a glass assembly and an external safety screen can occupy neighboring positions. They should not be treated as interchangeable. The relevant manual identifies the components used by a particular fireplace and explains how the appliance is intended to operate.
Keep a fixed glass assembly within its specification
For a sealed appliance, the glass assembly can be part of the operating system. Do not substitute ordinary window glass, modify the retaining arrangement or operate with a damaged or missing assembly. Ask the service provider to identify the correct part using the appliance information rather than approximate dimensions.
Treat a safety barrier as its own component
A protective screen reduces the chance of contact with hot glass. It does not replace the glass behind it or make the fireplace cool to touch. If the barrier is missing or damaged, identify the appropriate replacement rather than choosing a decorative screen based only on appearance.
Prepare a component-specific request
Describe the issue as a cracked panel, a damaged front, a missing screen or a door that does not behave normally. Include the model and a safe photograph of the cold appliance. Boca Chimney Group can then discuss the relevant door or glass assessment without assuming that the entire fireplace needs replacing.
