Photograph the full wall from ground level

Show the proposed window, vent terminal and nearby doors or other openings in one view. Avoid touching any termination or covering it as a temporary measure. Mark which panes will open after the change. If the termination belongs to another appliance, its requirements will come from that appliance instead.

Match the drawing to the installed equipment

The Cerona instructions, for example, include separate termination-location diagrams for outdoor features. The measurements and conditions in that manual are not a universal setback. Ask the appliance provider and window professional to review the exact model, vent configuration and local requirements together.

Resolve the discrepancy before ordering

Ask who will confirm that the new window arrangement fits the existing terminal, and what alternative layout is available if it does not. Moving a vent is a separate design decision, not an incidental part of installing a window. Record the agreed window type on the final drawing.
